Things You Will Need To Make A Christmas DIY Decorative Paper Wreath

• Adhesive
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Divider tool
• Pencil
• Cutter
• Decorative beads and pearls
• Cardboard
• Printed colour sheets
• Glue gun
• Decorative lace

Steps to Make The DIY Paper Wreath

Step 1-

We need to make a circular decorative piece and thus, let’s begin with drawing a circle on the cardboard. Take a cardboard and with the help of the pencil and divider tool, draw a circle on the cardboard.

Step 2-

In the same cardboard, draw a small circle within the big circle. Now cut the cardboard from the bigger circle. Get a clean circular cardboard. With the help of a cutter, cut the inner circle in a clean way.

Step 3-

Take a big red colour sheet and place the bigger circle on the sheet. Let the circle get perfectly fitted in the sheet. Refer the video and draw the circle as shown in it. Also draw the inner small circle on the sheet. Cut the inner circle with the help of a cutter the same way you trimmed the cardboard.

Step 4-

Now, apply adhesive on the big circular cardboard and stick the cardboard with the red coloured big sheet. Paste the entire sheet and let this get dry.

Step 5-

Now take a white coloured paper and keep it in a landscape manner. Fold the right corner of the paper to the centre and then fold the left side of the paper on it. Refer the video to fold it perfectly. Press the folds and make them deeper.

Step 6-

Now cut the 2 folds or three segments of the white paper. You can use the cutter or scissor to cut the paper. This will give you 3 equal sized long rectangles.

Step 7-

Now, arrange all the pieces together and bend this paper from the centre. You will get a line in between. With the help of the scissor, cut the papers from the centre. You will now get 6 small sized white papers.

Step 8-

Fold and arrange the paper from the centre and sub divisions. Refer the video to get the perfect folds. Press the folds to get those slim linings on the paper. Take small folds in the front and in the backward direction. This will give you a fine zigzag pattern. Interesting isn’t it!

Step 9-

Open the paper and you will get a beautiful wavy pattern. Perform the same folds with all the other pieces you made from the white paper. Now, hold the zigzag strip in your hand and cut the strip from the base, middle and top. Make small cuts and carefully cut the paper as shown in the video.

Step 10-

When you will open these stripes,you will get fine diamond shaped cuts. Once you have trimmed all the papers, joint the edges of all the papers together with the help of glue gun.

Step 11-

When you fold these designer papers from the bottom, you will get a nice fan style pattern. Now,take the red big circle and apply some adhesive in the circle.

Step 12-

Paste the fan or accordion to the circle. Keep applying the glue on the circular red base and stick the fan in the way shown in the video. 70% of the circular base will get covered with the accordion.

Step13-

Now, get a white paper and draw a medium sized circle on it. Choose any lid of container or divider tool and draw a clean circle and cut it with a scissors. Now fold this circular paper from the centre and again from the centre.

Step 14-

Keep folding it like the square piece as shown in the video. When you will open it, you will get the beautiful accordion style pattern on this little circle too. Make few more circles and designs the same way!

Step 15-

Take a decorative colour paper  and draw a small circle on it. This circle must be smaller than the white circle and then cut the circle with a scissor. Fold the paper just like the previous circle and make the flower accordion with this designer colourpaper. Choose different colour papers to make such lovely flower accordions.

Step 16-

Now, paste the small and coloured flower accordions in the huge white flower accordions with the help of glue gun. This looks simply perfect! Make 7-8 such flower accordions and stick these to the red circle.

Step 17-

On the area which we left blank on the big red circle, stick all these small flower accordions in a random fashion. Once the glue dries out, paste the decorative pearls and beads in the centre of the flowers. Also decorate the wreath and spaces of the fan with beautiful pearls. At each fold, stick the pearls and beads to make it look amazing!

Step 18-

To make it look more interesting, we will now use the golden decorative lace. Turn the wreath and stick the golden lace on the wreath as shown in the video. This will help you tie the wreath on the walls and make them look stunning!
